The application of plastics materials in food package is introduced in this paper and the safety of the possible chemical substances in plastics is analyzed according to its operating procedure. Some measures should be taken to improve the safety of plastic materials in food package such as strengthening market supervision,enhancing people's safety consciousness and supplementing the relevant laws and regulations.
